Soon after the club was founded, a Lamorinda Moms Club website was launched. Besides content updates and functionality upgrades, the site remained pretty unchanged. Until fall of 2005 when a group of very dedicated volunteers started working on developing a new online presence.

The content was re-organized, updated and written by Stacy Crinks, Melissa Lee, Rebecca Mcauliffe, and Holly Sonne. Other web content was written by Shahana Kadlic, Pia Smith, and Arlene Wong. Thanks to Stacy Crinks for quality assurance and Hannah Pirone for copyediting.

All technical aspects were handled by Tiraporn Olsen including graphic design and implementation of this content management system (CMS).

The website conversion project was managed by the fearless, tireless, ever humble, eternally optimistic, and yet wholly pragmatic Holly Sonne, without whose tremendous dedication and leadership this several-hundred-hour project would never have taken place.

This site was launched in June of 2006 and took on a new look and new functionality again in January 2007.  We will continue to update and improve the site based on member feedback, time and technology. LMC Online goes Joomla!

We are proud to be early adopter of Joomla Opensource CMS.  After evaluating many Opensource solutions, we settled on Joomla for a couple of reasons. Joomla as a stand-alone application does a pretty good job at creating a website that is easy to manage. Here, we used a few more extensions such as community builder, events calendar and forum to help create an online community. Its growing library of extensions will allow us to add new features and make upgrades easily in the future.
