Volunteers are what makes our Moms Club so successful. The following is a brief history of how a few women created this vital organization.

Lamorinda area mothers decided to establish their own club in September 1996, after finding that the other surrounding area moms’ clubs had grown too large. The first meeting was held at Moraga Commons, and 15 mothers attended! They envisioned that the club would be “a group of women who could help each other out, make active friendships, and get to know others in the community.”

Our membership has grown in leaps in bounds over the past ten years. While the large numbers make it a challenge for us to get to know one another, lifelong friendships have been established between many members. We continue to follow the vision of the founding group. As we recognize our ten year anniversary, the Steering Committee focuses on the ever-changing needs of our members. Always keep in mind, Lamorinda Moms Club is your organization and every member is encouraged to speak-up. If you have an idea or would like to help on a committee, please contact us. Your comments and participation are valued!
