MyThings Launches Targeted Recall Alerts For Your Things Print Email
MENLO PARK, Calif., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- MyThings, Inc., (http://www.mythings.com) the global online registry of belongings, announces the launch of MyThings Recall Alert, a free new feature that allows people to be notified about product recalls that affect things they own. Unlike other services that send mass emails for every recall issued, MyThings Recall Alert only sends notices to members who own the item in question.

"With the recent torrent of child product related recalls, busy parents don't have the time to search through page after page of product recalls every day," said MyThings CEO Benny Arbel. "MyThings Recall Alert allows people to register their things once, and be notified if any of them are recalled in the future."

The service, which is available in both the US and UK, sends a notification email that includes a link to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) or the UK Trading Standards Institute (TSI) recall notice page, which contains instructions on what to do about the recall. People can also search for past recalls using the MyThings Recall Alert database available at http://www.mythings.com/productrecall.aspx.
