Are you interested in speaking at one of our monthly General Meetings? LMC strives to find speakers that can speak on topics of interest to our membership. What topics is LMC interested in?

Our membership consists of expecting mothers and mothers with children under the age of 5. While many do have older children due to siblings, our charter is to serve moms with kids in this age range. As such, we primarily look for speakers with information that pertains to the following topics:

• Child development and health for ages birth-5
• Family financial planning
• Nurturing mom
• Preschools/Kindergarten selection and preparedness
• Childproofing and home safety
• Travel/entertainment for kids
• Home economics (recipes, organization, party planning etc.)
• Additional topics that would be relevant for families with young children.

What type of audience should I expect?

Our meetings are casual and attended by anywhere from approximately 15 to 40 or more moms. Expect that some moms will have nursing babies with them, so a few distractions are inevitable.

How long would my presentation time be?

Most speakers generally talk for 75 minutes as we allow time for refreshments and socialization before the presentation begins.

How far in advance are speakers booked?

Our speakers are booked approximately three months in advance; however we occasionally have cancellations and may need a speaker on shorter notice.

What information do I need to submit to LMC to be considered for a guest speaker?

If you are interested in being a speaker, please contact our Meeting Coordinators with the following information:

Additionally, please include a brief outline of your proposed talk. If you would be interested in providing a raffle prize, handouts, business cards, brochures, etc. for the meeting, please let us know.
