Volunteer |
The Lamorinda Moms Club is run by volunteer members. Each year, approximately 20 women hold leadership positions on a governing body called the Steering Committee, which plans and executes all the club’s activities. The Steering Committee is supported by dozens of members who help manage every aspect of the club. Finally, the club asks that all members contribute two hours per year as part of the “Every Member Makes a Difference” program. Why volunteer? You’ll make friends with other local moms, support activities and events that benefit your family, and keep your brain cells engaged. Some members do what they know best—for example, our publicity chairs work in PR, our treasurer was a bookkeeper in her previous career, etc.—but many choose to contribute in ways they simply find fun, convenient, and meaningful. Some members choose positions that challenge them to learn new skills. There are so many ways to get involved, with different levels of participation. Here are some of the ways you can make a difference. Interested in making a big impact?
