The Contra Costa County Library is hosting its first annual Reading Festival the weekend of May 16 to 18 in celebration of reading, lifelong learning, and the enduring value of libraries. Some 50 nationally known and local authors will speak at 25 community libraries throughout Contra Costa County. There will be authors and additional fun activities for everyone – adults, teens, and children. All programs are free. The Reading Festival’s theme this year is Relax, Recharge, Rethink – READ.
