Zookids Crittercraft at the Oakland Zoo 4/10/2008, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Critter Crafts is a parent child class for children ages 3-5. The classes will be located at the Maddie's Center for Science & Environmental Education located at the lower entrance of the zoo from 10:30-12:30. Your class will include a short tour of the Children's Zoo, a craft workshop and a close up with a few of our education animal ambassadors and may include story time and biofact discovery. The first hour and a half will be a structured program with the last half hour as free time to explore the Discovery Room and have fun or finish up your craft activities. Pre-registration is required. Walk-ins will be accepted. Walk-ins will be taken the day of if the program does not fill in advance. There will be a max of 25 people (adults and children) for each program.

Celebrate spring by giving back to the planet and planting your very own plants. Paint your very own mini pot and plant a few garden vegetables. Enjoy watching them grow into the summer months. Tour the Children’s zoo and visit a few animals basking and soaking up the spring sunshine.

TIMES: 10:30am - 12:30pm

MEMBERS: $7.50 per participant.

NON-MEMBERS: $10.00 per participant.

DUE TO ROOM CAPACITY WE REQUEST THAT: Each child be accompanied by no more than 2 adults. Each parent bring no more than 3 children per adult chaperone.For the consideration of others, please do not bring in children under the age of 3.
